World of Rubber was initially financed by member companies of the
British Rubber Manufacturers' Association (predecessor of BRPPA) with
assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry, as a service to
education.
It addresses a variety of audiences but will be of particular benefit to those in schools. This overall picture of the rubber manufacturing industry shows the very wide range of products in everyday life dependent on rubber.
History, geography, chemistry, physics, economics and technology are all touched on, and where detail has been necessary such sections are separately identified.
